Received a B.S.degree in Soil Science in August 1986 from Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia. The title of his thesis was: “Soil Compaction Impact on the Growth of Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) and Selected Soil Properties.” Directed by Dr.Suprapto.  In May 1991, he received a M.S.degreee in Soil Physics and Management from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. The title of his thesis: “Temporal Variability of a Loessial Soil as Affected by Cropping” was prepared under the direction of Dr. H. D. Scott. She completed a Ph.D. degree in Soil Ecology with a Minor in Environmental Science in May 1996 from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. Her dissertation: “Carbon and Nitrogen Cycling and Pools after 23-years of No Tillage and Conventional Tillage” was directed by Drs. R .L. Blevins and Mark Coyne. His teaching experience includes:  Associate Professor, Department of Soil Science, Agriculture Faculty, University of Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia, 1996-present; Assistant Professor, Department of Soil Science, Agriculture Faculty, University of Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia, 1987 - 1996; Lecturer and Researcher, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University Bengkulu, Indonesia 1987- present. She has received several awards and fellowships, among others: the Fulbright Senior Researcher Award, 2005, the Active Writer and Researcher, awarded by the President of the University of Bengkulu, 2005; the National Outstanding Lecturer, awarded by the National Higher Education Department of the Republic of Indonesia, 2005; The Most Outstanding Lecturer in the Bengkulu Province, 2004; The Most Distinguished Lecturer at The University of Bengkulu, 2004; The Most Distinguished Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Bengkulu, 2004, and The Most Outstanding Researcher, awarded by The President of Indonesia and The Indonesia Ministry of Research, 2004.  She has made numerous research presentations in the area of soil ecology and environmental sciences and served as the principal investigator in twenty-five competitive research grants.
